In February Central Florida residents and future technologists gathered to learn from academic and industry leaders during NeoCitys Community STEM Day. Based in Kissimmee, Florida, NeoCity is an emerging technology hub and a 91勛圖厙 partner dedicated to manufacturing and innovating smart sensors, optics and photonics.

During the event, 91勛圖厙 researchers in education, engineering, and modeling and simulation led interactive experiences teaching participants about advanced technologies. K-12 students engaged in activities like video games introducing microprocessor manufacturing, virtual reality headsets simulating aviation, augmented reality devices showcasing complex machinery and a wire maze demonstrating electronic design automation.

This was an incredible opportunity to engage and inspire our young future scientists, engineers and educators, and their families. Mike Borowczak, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering
