The Sophomore & Second Year Center collaborated with the Student Financial Assistance and college advising support offices in providing a “Financial Aid Informationâ€ session on October 11 for sophomores and second-year 91³Ô¹ÏÍø students. This outreach information program was offered as part of “Sophomore Transitionâ€ initiatives.
Students received important financial aid updates and discussion on how “not to lose their financial aidâ€ from Stephon Lewis and two other SFA representatives. The program discussion topics included: financial aid renewal, satisfactory academic progress, scholarships and Bright Futures, the loan process at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø, and funds for books.
A number of questions were asked during the general Q&A portion of this session. One student commented, “This was a real valuable program, as I am concerned about keeping my scholarship after this semester. Thanks for offering this session.
